As some of you may know, I had previous posted about a news article that proved Allen Dulles knew there wasn’t any brainwashing threat from the “Russians” and the “Chinese” at all.

Well, I have since come across a wonderfully researched and documented article that makes it clear things were even darker than that – that they knew this literally right from the beginning of their first covert projects – Projects BlueBird and Artichoke.

Note: It also documents the clear connection of that the experiments along this line actually began under the slavemaster-supported and controlled ‘war’ of Nazi Germany, in their concentration camps.

A whole extreme brow-raiser in itself.

Eyebrows flying away

The author of the article is the same man who wrote The Politics of Heroin, which was an extremely helpful resource that I used in tracking the entire slavemaster drug network – meaning involvement of all the major factions. The Vatican, the British Nobility, and their American counterparts.

In the later 2007 article that I just found, he talks about a meeting in Montreal, which has all these factions represented as well (although apparently he didn’t know about the Vatican/Catholic representation there – which there was).

In March 1951, the CIA initiated a “top secret” research program into “all aspects of special interrogation” through “exchange of information and coordination of related programs”.

This is Project BLUEBIRD.

On April 20, 1950, Roscoe Hillenkoetter, at the time Director of the CIA, officially approved BLUEBIRD.

The official objectives were:

  • (a) discovering means of conditioning personnel to prevent unauthorized extraction of information from them by known means,
  • (b) investigating the possibility of control of an individual by application of special interrogation techniques,
  • (c) memory enhancement, and offensive uses of unconventional techniques, such as hypnosis and drugs
  • (d) establishing defensive means for preventing hostile control of Agency personnel.

Morse Allen became the head of BLUEBIRD at the end of 1950.

BLUEBIRD was renamed ARTICHOKE on 20 August 1951.

The following document images were obtained from Black Vault’s MKULTRA archives  –

CD #1, Main Directory, and within that, doc series 144688, Document #2.

Document #3 says:

“I am sure that you will recognize the implications which might be drawn should it become known, generally, that CIA or the Military Intelligence Agencies are directly concerned in this matter, even though this concern stems primarily from the defensive aspects of the problem…The Code word “Artichoke has been assigned and is unclassified when used in such a way that it does not reveal the nature or scope of the problem.” – Deputy Director of the CIA

and from Document #4:

“Medical Science, particularly in the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy, has developed a variety of techniques whereby some control can be imposed on the will of an individual. The techniques include neuro-surgery, electric shock, drugs, hypnosis and others.”

“…the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy has developed a variety of techniques whereby some control can be imposed on the will of an individual.”

Allen Welsh Dulles became the DD/CIA in August of 1951, just in time to rename BLUEBIRD to ARTICHOKE. He held this position until February of 1953, when he was promoted to Director of the CIA, and his Deputy position was filled by General Charles Pearre Cabell, until Cabell was forced by President Kennedy to resign, on January 31, 1962, following the failure of the Bay of Pigs Invasion.

McCoy continues to describe and document this Montreal meeting –

Consequently, in the words of a later Canadian inquiry by George Cooper, QC, “a high-level meeting took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Montreal on June 1, 1951.

Attending were Sir Henry T. Tizard, the venerable senior scientist from the U.K. Ministry of Defense; Dr. Omond Solandt, head of Canada’s Defense Research Board (DRB); Dr. Donald O. Hebb, head of the Board’s Behavioral Research and chair of Psychology at McGill; and two Americans, Dr. Caryl Haskins and Commander R.J. Williams. These latter two were identified, in a “handwritten note” found in Board files, as “CIA” (Cooper, 1986, pp. 32–33, Appendix 21).

Who are these men?

Let’s start with Tizard.

Sir Henry Tizard

Tizard was British intelligence – MI6 to be precise, and do note this now means we have a ‘hard’ connection for William Sargant’s brutal experiments done over in England preceding and concurring with Ewen Cameron’s in Canada – as being overseen by British intelligence.

The origins of the SIS (MI6) scientific intelligence section lay in the creation under Oxford trained scientist Sir Henry Tizard of the Committee for the Scientific Survey of Air Defence. The ‘Tizard Committee’ began meeting in secret in January 1935.

Next, under a 1940 reorganization of British Intelligence, “Special Duties” , the War Office liaison to the SIS was now designated MI6 – the first time this title was ever used with reference to SIS.

Tizard resigned in 1940 because of utterly insane behavior by Mr. Lindemann (Lord Cherwell, Winston Churchill’s ‘dog’ as he referred to him) but this eventually resulted in the ousting of Lindemann and Tizard eventually taking on a more superior position in Britain’s Ministry of Defense.

Hebb – we’ll discuss a little later on.

Dr. Omond Solandt, head of Canada’s Defense Research Board (DRB) – this is him.

Dr. Omond Solandt.

It’s Lurch – from the Adams Family – just with glasses!

Lurch from the Adams family.

The two ‘CIA’ men are next – this is Dr. Caryl Haskins in 1958.

An online bio on him put out by Yale starts out with describing his life as: Walks by the River at Twilight. Considering what we now know him to have been instrumental in creating in America, in concert with British and Canadian intelligence…well…

expressions - don't know what to say about that

I really don’t know what to say about that ridiculously transparent and cover-up extraordinaire characterization. He agreed with Hebb’s ideas for what they should be researching – and was one of the 2 CIA representatives at the meeting. Where’s that in his bio, hmm?

As to the last one – Commander R.J. Williams, notice how nobody out there seems to know who he was really?

Well, I found him.

His full name should read – Commander Robert Jay Williams.

You can read about some of what he is doing in this declassified document from the National Security Archives – in 1948 he was the chief of something called “Project Ultimate” for the Special Procedures Group (SPG) of the CIA, which was a scheme to use hot air balloons to drop propaganda over the Soviet Bloc. (the document I linked to is discussing the possible effect of winter conditions on this plan).

This was the same thing done later as part of a big propaganda campaign by “radio free Europe” and they used balloons for it.

What’s also very interesting about this document, is that it was released and then retroactively re-classified.

Between 1999 and 2006, the CIA, the Air Force, the Department of Energy, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency retroactivelyclassified more than 25,000 documents and removed them from the public shelves of the National Archives.41

A number of these documents dated back to World War II and the Korean War and had already appeared in historical collections published by the government.42

This aggressive reclassification did not come to light until Matthew Aid, a national security researcher, noticed that records he had previously photocopied were no longer publicly available.43

His questions led the National Archives to admit to the existence of the secret classification program, and the ensuing uproar prompted the only audit to date of retroactive classification.44

Significantly, the audit found that more than thirty-five percent of the retroactive classification was “questionable” or “clearly inappropriate,”45  a proportion that Allen Weinstein, then Archivist of the United States, called “stunning[ly] large.”46

This document was one that had been released, then reclassified again.

Do you see why that’s interesting?

The document I just linked to proves this guy’s CIA involvement and of course, when put together with the meeting in Montreal, it provides proof that all three slavemaster intelligence agencies were involved in coming up with this calculated plan to treat Americans as enemies.

Alright. So that’s our guys. Let’s put all of these Montreal brainwashing planners together pictorially.

The only one I didn’t find yet was a pic of Commander Williams.

So…now, what did they discuss?

As noted in the Board’s minutes of the Montreal meeting, “Dr. Hebb suggested that an approach based upon the situation of sensory isolation might lead to some clues” to answering “the central problem” that interested this covert research coalition: that is

  • “ ‘confession,’
  • ‘menticide,’
  • ‘intervention in the individual mind,’
  • —together with methods concerned in psychological coercion.”

Speaking at length, Hebb suggested that by “cutting off all sensory stimulation . . . , the individual could be led into a situation whereby ideas, etc. might be implanted.

In response, Sir Henry concurred, stating that these issues “had become a matter of concern in the U.K.,” and adding that “the methods of psychological coercion . . . had been well developed by the [Medieval] inquisition” (Cooper, 1986, Appendix 21).

… As consensus formed about “research methods and design,” the group adopted Hebb’s suggestion that “experimental isolation in various forms for the production ofsensory isolation” might place subjects “in such a position psychologically that they would be susceptible to implantation of new or different ideas.

Despite the Board’s later claims to the contrary, its minutes indicate clearly that their priority in backing Hebb’s brainwashing work was not defensive but offensive operations against communist enemies.

“With respect to . . . useful results,” the Montreal principals agreed, “present methods of offence had moved over into the psychological field and that the whole area of change in public opinion and individual attitude was assuming rapidly increasing importance” (Cooper, 1986, Appendix 21).

Just like I’ve been saying for years, it’s our attitudes and opinions OF THEM (and their stupid 2-class society) that is what they are worried about.

We can’t all be ‘communists’ fer fucksakes. What a lame excuse/label that is.

Now here comes the proof that all these experiments had nothing to do with ‘defense against communist brainwashing’ – and also note that this is only a year or two after the whole ridiculous show of the brainwashed Cardinal Mindszenty.

… The CIA’s own minutes concur, recording that the Montreal group agreed there was “no conclusive evidence” that the Soviets had made anything akin to “revolutionary progress,” and dismissed their interrogation as “remarkably similar . . to the age-old methods.”

Age-old methods is, of course, a veiled reference to the Catholic Church.

But there it is – this was never about a ‘threat of brainwashing’ from the Communists.

It was about learning how to brainwash people for their own purposes.

Behind closed doors, therefore, the defensive pretence evaporated, and these cold warriors decided to pursue control over human consciousness for offensive “cold war operations”: that is, ideological conversion and coerced interrogation (Cooper, 1986, pp. 31–32; Marks, 1979, pp. 29–31;CIA, 6 June 1951 and 9 July 1951).

The interesting thing about this find, is that I had assessed a piece of information (not this article) that I had found last year about this meeting and I had said this about it:

At a secret meeting at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal, June 1, 1951, intelligence officials of U.S., Canada, and Great Britain developed mind-control strategies after reviewing reports of American prisoners being brainwashed. They all knew that there was nothing new to the “Russian” threat, or their methods of “brainwashing. That was merely a PR ploy designed to gain public support, and at Capitol Hill, for the real experiments these people had in mind.

– Virginia McClaughry, 2015

And now here’s the proof. Yeah!

Just look at what came out of that meeting in Montreal –

Within just a few years, this allied scientific offensive would include:

  • a British “intelligence research unit” at Maresfield, Sussex;
  • an Anglo-American facility near Frankfurt for lethal experiments on captured Soviet-bloc “expendables”;
  • CIA-funded psychology research at leading U.S. universities;
  • periodic allied conferences to exchange results; and above all,
  • classified Canadian studies of sensory deprivation at McGill University

(Weinstein, 1990, p. 274; Meek, 2005; Marks, 1979, pp. 32–33; Ignatieff, 1 April 2001).

In marked contrast to the poor yield from the CIA’s drug experiments, three behavioral projects, among the hundreds outsourced to academics, produced important results.

The Crazed World of Hebb

Donald Olding Hebb Hebb's_Sensory_Deprivation_experiments_at_McGill_University

Three months after the Montreal meeting, in one of the most significant steps for gestation of the CIA’s psychological paradigm, Ottawa’s Defense Research Board (DRB) awarded Dr. Hebb a “secret” grant, under Contract DRB-X38 from 1951 to 1955, for experiments that discovered the devastating psychological impact of sensory isolation.

As Hebb explained in his classified 1952 report, this experiment was measuring “whether slight changes of attitude might be effected” by shorter periods of isolation intensified by “wearing (a) light-diffusing goggles, (b) earphones through which white noise may be constantly delivered . . . , and (c) cardboard tubes over his [the subject’s] forearms so that his hands . . . cannot be used for tactual perception of the environment.” In contrast to the modest impact anticipated, Hebb reported that “motivational disturbance appears great,” and among twenty-two subjects “four remarked spontaneously that being in the apparatus was a form of torture.” Evidently encouraged, Hebb concluded, “the contract is opening up a field of study that is of both theoretical and practical significance” (Hebb, Heron, & Bexton, 1952, Appendix 22).

With a growing sense of his project’s scientific import, Hebb—aware of competition from his colleague Dr. Ewan Cameron who, he said, “is now undertaking some work with this method”—pressed the DRB for permission to publicize his results. But the Board resisted by insisting on secrecy and, if necessary, deceptive cover stories (Morton, 1 January 1953; Hebb, 15 December 1952). Although public disclosures were restricted, Hebb’s 1952 annual report was distributed to all three branches of the U.S. military along with “1 copy to Central Intelligence Agency (USA)” (Hoyt, 7 May 1956).

After three years of secret research, the story finally leaked to the Toronto Star in January 1954. In a background memo for the minister, the DRB’s Dr. Solandt explained that Hebb’s research had “originated from a discussion among Sir Henry Tizard, representatives of the US Central Intelligence Agency, Dr. Hebb . . . , and myself in June 1951.”

Hebb’s subsequent research has “given some indication that significant changes in attitude can be brought about by use of propaganda under conditions of isolation. With a misleading cover story that the project was preventing monotony by those monitoring a radar display, the DRB soon silenced the press (Hebb, 11 January 1954; Solandt, 25 January 1954).

…significant changes in attitude can be brought about by use of propaganda under conditions of isolation.

Exactly what Harold Wolff concluded in his MKULTRA experiments.

He proposed keeping his patients in sensory deprivation until they “show an increased desire to talk and to escape from the procedure. Then, he said, doctors could “utilize material from their own past experience in order to create psychological reactions within them.”

 – The Search For The Manchurian Candidate by John Marks, section on Harold Wolff and Lawrence Hinkle

The term ‘use of propaganda’ – what do they mean?

The only way the slavemasters ever do anything.

But see, when all was said and done with Hinkle and Wolff’s earlier experiments, they revealed that it was not drugs or bizarre tortures that resulted in confession; it was sleep deprivation and psychological warfare techniques that produced anxiety to such an extreme degree that “normal coping devices” could not prevail.

When the person reached this “state” Hinkle and Wolff would then present themselves as friend and saviour.

Just exactly the same as the Catholic Church has done for centuries, which was probably why Sir Tizard brought them up.

Last, but not really least, in case you’re wondering about Hebb’s work and BLUEBIRD and MKULTRA all being, really,  the continuation of the research from the slavemaster backed Nazis in the WWII concentration camps?

Check this out –

… Our earliest indication of Beecher’s interest in interrogation is a letter, dated February 7, 1947, from Dr. Arthur R. Turner, chief of the U.S. Army’s Medical Intelligence Branch, reading: “Inclosed for your retention is a brochure, dealing with the Dachau Concentration Camp, which has just arrived. I . . . thought it might be of interest to you.”

This brochure, by the German aviation medical research unit, detailed 30 mescaline experiments on Dachau inmates by SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer Dr. Kurt Ploetner aimedto eliminate the will of the person examined . . . by the Gestapo.

In words that promised to unlock the mind for interrogation, the report concluded: “If the Messkalin had an effect on the mental state of the P.E.’s, the examining person succeeded in every case in drawing even the most intimate secrets from the P.E. when the questions were cleverly put” (Harvard Medical, October 1945; Turner, 7 February 1947).
